Avocados are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids and are an excellent source of dietary fibre, with one avocado providing 40% of your daily fibre needs. Both their fibre and fat content will help to slow digestion and keep you feeling full and satisfied from your meals.

In terms of micronutrients, avocados are a good source of:

  • vitamin C
  • vitamin B6
  • vitamin E
  • vitamin K
  • folate
  • magnesium
  • potassium

Some of my favourite ways to enjoy avocado are in smoothies (they make them so creamy!), salads, sauces, and as a swap for mayo in sandwiches!
