How Long Does Yogurt Sauce Keep?

This yogurt sauce will stay fresh for about a week. Simply store it in an airtight container in the fridge.

If any separation occurs, just give it a good stir before using!

What To Serve With Yogurt Sauce

This all-purpose mint yogurt sauce goes great with a variety of dishes, such as:

  1. Seafood. I love it drizzled over a simple baked salmon or with some sautéed shrimp. Tip: serve it all over some whole grains and stir the yogurt sauce in everything for extra deliciousness!
  2. Meat & poultry. The mint and yogurt flavours of this sauce go well with meats like lamb or chicken. Because of it’s refreshing and cooling nature, it pairs particularly well with proteins that have a bit of spice to them!
  3. Kebabs. Either meat, seafood, or veggie! It goes great as a dipping sauce.
  4. Pita wraps. This sauce would be great with a yummy falafel wrap or a wrap with any of the proteins mentioned above! This would pair well with Mediterranean-inspired flavours.
  5. Roasted veggies. This sauce recipe was taken directly from this curry-roasted cauliflower dish of mine. It tastes so good drizzled over roasted veggies, like zucchini, potatoes, radishes, eggplant, squash, or cauliflower!

Do You Need Any Equipment To Make This?

Not necessarily! While a food processor will make this sauce extra smooth in seconds, you can totally just use a whisk to mix everything together.

TIP: If making this sauce my hand, be sure to chop the mint and garlic extra fine!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plain greek yogurt (benefits of Greek yogurt)
  • 1 cup fresh mint
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 large cloves garlic (or ~1 tsp garlic powder)
  • Salt + pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth. Adjust seasonings to taste, as desired.

Notes

*NO FOOD PROCESSOR? No problem! You can make this by hand. Simply chop the mint into very small pieces and mince the garlic, before stirring all ingredients together in a small bowl.
*STORAGE: This yogurt sauce will stay fresh for about a week. Simply store it in an airtight container in the fridge. If any separation occurs, just give it a good stir before using!
*CONSISTENCY: If you’d like this sauce to be thicker (like more of a dip), try adding more greek yogurt until it reaches your desired consistency. You may have to add more salt, pepper, and garlic in this case. Just avoid extra lemon (unless you want it to be thinner!)
*SERVING IDEAS: This all-purpose mint yogurt sauce goes great with a variety of dishes, such as:
  • Seafood. I love it drizzled over a simple baked salmon or with some sautéed shrimp. Tip: serve it all over some whole grains and stir the yogurt sauce in everything for extra deliciousness!
  • Meat & poultry. The mint and yogurt flavours of this sauce go well with meats like lamb or chicken. Because of it’s refreshing and cooling nature, it pairs particularly well with proteins that have a bit of spice to them!
