Eating healthy can seem overwhelming, but I truly believe that it doesn’t have to be. My main goal for Walder Wellness is to provide a resource that will guide and inspire you to add more fresh, simple, whole foods ingredients into your everyday life.
My recipes focus on plant-based ingredients with small amounts of animal protein – you’ll find lots of fruit, veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, eggs, and some seafood. The scientific research that supports the health benefits of these foods is endless, but I know that sometimes it can be difficult to actually incorporate these foods into your life. Whether it’s an issue of convenience, boredom, budget, a fear of the kitchen, or you simply just don’t know where to start, I hope I can show you that healthy eating can be a part of your lifestyle, and that it can be fun and delicious too.
Please note that I don’t believe in strict, fad diets, but rather in eating mindfully. Nutrition isn’t all about counting calories or micronutrients, and food is meant to be enjoyed; if you’re eating a well-balanced diet, it is 100% ok to indulge here and there too.
